Ephraim, UT - The Badgers fought hard against nationally ranked College of Southern Idaho but fell short as the Golden Eagles took the lead about the six minute mark and held of Snow College down the stretch.

Under the direction of Jake Atwood the Badgers played hard and lead by as many as 10 points early in the second half. Snow College led by five at the half, a half that saw the two teams tied eight times and six lead changes.

"I thought we played really well in the first half," said Atwood. "They are a very talented and physical team and we played with them and worked hard to get the lead."

The second half saw the Badgers extend their lead, but the Golden Eagles outside shooting finally found the mark. CSI was just one for nine from behind the arc in the first half, but 4-7 in the second half. Their shooting from the field went from 29 per cent in the first half to 52 per cent in the second half while the Badgers shooting got worse.

"We shot well in the first half," said Atwood. "Our shooting and turnovers killed us in the second half. You can't miss shots that we missed and turn the ball over against a team like CSI."

The Badgers were led by Brandon Vega with 16 points, nine of which he scored int he first half. Travis wilkins finished with 15, Teancum Stafford had 10 and Tiegbe Bamba added 9 points and eight rebounds and Riley Crosbie had nine rebounds.

Snow College will host North Idaho College on Saturday at 5pm.
