EPHRAIM — The Snow College Lady Badgers maintained their unblemished record through their Scenic West Athletic Conference opener with an 82-58 win over the Spartans of Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) in Rangely on Thursday night. The 16th ranked Badgers had 11 players in the scoring column to run their season record to 10-0.

Snow took no prisoners in the first half, jumping to a 37-14 lead as the teams headed into the locker room. CNCC held even after the break, however, with the Badgers outscoring the Spartans by only one, 45-44, in the second period to earn the 82-58 win.

Madison Smith led the Badgers in scoring with 15 points while Ashton Henderson added 13 and Kaityln Hurley was also in double figures with 11. The Spartans' Jamie Revels took game high scoring honors with 16 points.

Jilian Powell and Matysen Evensen each pulled down seven rebounds to lead Snow, and again it was Revels who had game-high honors for CNCC with nine boards. Snow's Savannah Park dished out five assists which was matched by the Spartans' Sarah Midgley.

The Badgers hoisted 20 more shots from the field than did the Spartans, making 36 of 73 field goals (49 percent) to take advantage of their 20-9 edge in turnovers. CNCC was 22 of 53 (42 percent) from the floor. Snow recorded 13 steals to only two for CNCC and had a slight edge in rebounding with 41 boards to the Spartans' 38.

Snow next plays at USU-Eastern in Price on Saturday while CNCC (now 6-8 overall) entertains the 11th ranked Bruins of Salt Lake Community College which was a 78-62 winner over USU-Eastern last night for their seventh straight win.
