Salt Lake City, UTAH- No. 9 ranked Salt Lake (0-0-1) tied 1-1 against No. 18 Western Nebraska (0-0-1) in the Bruins home opener. 

After a scoreless first half, the Bruins struck first as sophomore Abe Ashby found the back of the net in the 56th minute. The Cougars equalized in the 75th minute as Alvaro Abeal scored. 

A red card in the 79th minute on Salt Lake gave Western Nebraska a man advantage, but it only lasted for eight minutes as their goalscorer picked up his second yellow card in the 87th minute.
