CSI Men still alive following win at CNCC

RANGELY, Colo. - The CSI Men's Soccer team's push for the postseason still has life as they kick off the final week of the regular season with a 2-0 win over Colorado Northwestern on Thursday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles scored early goals in both halves as Rodrigo Julian Olmos scored his team high seventh goal of the season in the fourth minute on an assist from Gordon Peterson.
The Golden Eagles had a balanced attack all game long, logging five shots in each half, while holding the Spartans to just two shots in the game. Sophomore Jakob Hollon scored the second goal for the Golden Eagles in the 49th minute on an assist from Ilan Portejoie, giving the Golden Eagles the two goal cushion.
CSI created a handful of opportunities at eight of their 10 shots were on goal, with Olmos leading the way with two. Lasse Brier picked up the win in goal for the Golden Eagles, making one save in his third clean sheet of the season.
With the win, the Golden Eagles have put themselves in a "win and in" situation heading into their final regular season match of the year on Saturday at Snow College. The Golden Eagles and the Badgers played to a 1-1 draw back on September 26th.
