Salt Lake City, Utah- No. 17 SLCC Softball (32-10) won both games in today's doubleheader against North Idaho College (15-34).
The Bruins won the first game of the day 10-0 in five innings. LHP Brecka Larson (13-1) pitched her third straight complete game shutout. 3B Irma Medina shined with a 3-3 day with four RBI. Medina contributed in every inning that Salt Lake scored runs with a solo home run, an RBI single, and a two-RBI double. SS Jazmine Prathan and 2B Olivia Harker had multi-hit games and combined for three RBI and three runs scored.
Salt Lake won game two 10-2 as RHP Elliott Plewe (7-2) pitched all six innings for Salt Lake. Plewe struck out four batters and allowed five hits. Prathan drove in half of the Bruins runs with a two-RBI double and a three-run home run. 1B Savannah Palmatier went 2-2 with two RBI and two runs scored. CF Lahela Painter went 2-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.
