RENO, Nev. - It has been a long anxious wait for the CSI Men's Soccer team to play their first official game and they came out firing on their way to five goals and a conference win on the road as they knocked off Truckee Meadows 5-1 on Saturday afternoon. 
The Golden Eagles took advantage of nine shots on goal to convert five goals, the first of which came in the 13th minute as Nicolas Anatoh scored his first career collegiate goal to give CSi the early lead. The Golden Eagles added on just before the half, as Tarsio Almeida Sebastio scored in the 40th minute to take a 2-0 lead into the half. 
The second half saw the Golden Eagles stay on the attack as early in the 51st minute they pushed their lead to three as Rodrigo Julian Olmos found the back of the net. Truckee Meadows would score their lone goal of the day in the 66th minute, but CSI answered back with a pair of goals off of the foot of Edward Hill to cruise to the 5-1 win. Hill, Wilf Douglas, Ilan Portejoie, Enrique Nevarez each notched an assist in the win. 
The Golden Eagles will now prep for their home opener next week, as they square off with North Idaho on Thursday at 3:00 p.m.
