Golden Eagles end season at national tournament

YUMA, Ariz. - The College of Southern Idaho lost to Southern Union State College 5-1 Tuesday to finish the 2025 season at the Golden Eagles fourth straight NJCAA National Tournament appearance.
The Golden Eagles battled through three innings with a 0-0 tie. But in the fourth Southern Union strung a few hits and walks together to jump out to a 5-0 lead.
CSI had chances late but plated only one run.
Emerson Fuller took the loss, pitching 3.1 innings and giving up four earned runs on four hits with four strikeouts. Ella Farrell pitched the final 3.2 innings, giving up no runs on 4 hits with four strikeouts.
At the play, Anslie Yazzie, Abbie Banning and Courtney Christiansen were each 1-for-3. Banning had a double and the lone RBI. Lexi Crowley was 1-for-2 and Rilyne Keck found her way on base with two walks and a hit by pitch. 
CSI finished the season 40-16 overall.
