RANGELY, Colo. - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team rolled past Colorado Northwestern 14-4 to run rule the Spartans in five innings Thursday to open the four-game Scenic West Athletic Conference series.
The Golden Eagles pounded out 14 hits and took advantage of eight walks in the contest.
Stetson Critchley finished the game 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI. Trey Purser was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI and Mack Evans was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Both Ryder Cutlip and Noah Gatti were 1-for-2 and Tayson Howard and Cade Burnham both hit doubles. Howard finished 2-for-4 and Burnham 3-for-5.
Grayson Riding added another win to his career, going 4.2 innings and giving up one earned run on five hits with three strikeouts. Cayman Kap pitched the final out, giving up no runs on no hits with one strikeout.
CSI, 30-5 overall and 5-0 in conference play, takes on Colorado Northwestern again Friday in a doubleheader starting at noon.
