CSI Women's Basketball falls in Region 18 Tournament semifinal

TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team lost to Salt Lake CC Thursday in the Region 18 Tournament, ending the Golden Eagles season.
CSI came out hot, taking an 11-point lead halfway through the second quarter but the Golden Eagles struggled from that point on to score. 
The Golden Eagles shot 45 percent in the first quarter from the field and 60 percent from the 3-point line. They were also perfect from the free throw line. They ended the game, shooting 29 percent from the field.
Salt Lake also out-rebounded CSI 46-31.
Kennedy Gillette led the Golden Eagles with 24 points, five rebounds and two assists. Mariah Mons added 16 points. Samara Morrow had five rebounds and three steals. 
CSI finishes its season 23-8 overall.
In the earlier game, Snow College beat North Idaho College 61-50 to advance to Region 18 Championship against Salt Lake Friday at 3 p.m.
