TWIN FALLS, Idaho - Different day different pitcher came through with a shut out to lead the College of Southern Idaho Softball Team to a win in the Region 18 Tournament.
The Golden Eagles run rules Salt Lake CC 8-0 to advance to the Region 18 Championship on Thursday at noon.
Eva Stoddard beat the Bruins for the fourth time this season, posting the five-inning shutout. She gave up just four hits with five strikeouts.
CSI led 7-0 going into the bottom of the fifth when Ava Howell deposited a shot over the right field wall for the run rule. She finished the game 2-for-2 with three RBI.
Adi Hansen, Lily Heitz and Abbie Banning were all 1-for-2 at the plate. Heitz hit a home run for one RBI and Alyce Archuleta and Anslie Yazzie were each 1-for-3.
The Golden Eagles will take on the winner of North Idaho and Salt Lake Thursday at noon in the championship game.
